Rwanda holiday ideas experiences accommodation places to go when to visit Rwanda map reviews

Holiday review by Edward Stokes

Name: Edward Stokes
Date of trip: 25/09/2013
Number of people: 2
Country: Rwanda

Overall level of Satisfaction

Tribes Overall: "Watching gorillas at play is just such a privilege. The Northern serengetti exceeded all expectations. It was truely stunning and the wildlife utterly magical. A fantastic contrast as we journeyed south onto the great plains observing the remaining wildlife."

Tribes Service: "The trip was put together very quickly and it went extremely smoothly."

Guides: "Both our guides were friendly and very competent. In Tanzania the guides level of sensitivity to and knowledge of wildlife was superb."

Social & Environmental Responsibility: "It had the feeling of helping. However I do realise this is a minefield and there is a long way to go. Perhaps the Mother Teresa quote: that we cannot do great things, only small things with great love...sums it up best!"

Accommodation

Sabyinyo Silverback Lodge
A delightful lodge which allowed the experience of the gorillas to soak in.

Ubuntu Camp
David the camp manager runs a fantastic ship. The service, comfort and food provided were an absolute delight. The position of the camp was fantastic with frequent visits from passing wildlife.

Kirurumu Manyara Lodge
This was only a brief overnight stop but we did enjoy the views.

Kirurumu Tarangire Lodge
A great stay, the regular presence of elephants is a highlight of this very pleasant camp.

Ras Nungwi
For us this was the perfect hideaway. We soaked up the sun and enjoyed the service, sea, views, food and wine. The perfect end to a great trip.
