Overall level of Satisfaction

Tribes Overall: "We travelled to Nepal with open minds, conscious of the fact that Nepal is more often associated with the Himalayas and trekking holidays. Our trip was based on the National parks and culture. We were very pleasantly surprised."

Tribes Service: "The pre-departure arrangements were all we could have hoped for, and Paul, at Tribes could not have been more helpful."

Guides: "Excellent"

Social & Environmental Responsibility: "Excellent"

Accommodation

Hotel Parkland
While the food, the staff, and the guides and drivers, were all excellent, the bedrooms would benefit from a little updating.

Tiger Tops Karnali Lodge Bardia
As with the other hotels, the food, the staff, and the management were excellent. Nothing was too much in order to make our stay memorable. The same goes for the guide, the drivers, and the mahouts. The bedrooms were comfortable, but the ensuite might benefit from some updating.

Fishtail Lodge
A good hotel, although when we arrived we found that the restaurant was undergoing refurbishment. Our accommodation was comfortable, although the breakfast provided was adequate only. The staff were excellent.

Kantipur Temple House
As with Gaun Ghar, Kantipur Temple House is in a class of its own. An oasis in the desert was how it seemed to us. Built in traditional style, the rooms were wonderful, many with views down into a central courtyard. It was so peaceful. It was here that we fell in love with Nepalese food. The staff and management were superb.

Gaun Ghar
A wonderful hotel in every respect. Built in traditional style, our room had incredible views down the valley. The food, the friendly staff and management, could not be bettered. We could easily spend a week there.
