About Luangwa Safari House

  • Close Panel

Luangwa Safari House is a private house situated on Robin Pope''s Nkwali land. It is built on the edge of a seasonal lagoon and with a backdrop of the Chindeni Hills. Booked on an exclusive basis, this house is perfect for families or a small group of friends.

The game, including elephants and giraffe, use this area to feed and drink throughout the day. The main room is vast, -going up two storeys to the thatched roof, and has large comfy sofas where guests can relax. Outside there is a quartz-tiled terrace leading to a large plunge pool. The large deck area has sofas and chairs and meals can be eaten here in the open air, with views of the nearby waterhole. The 4 en-suite bedrooms are spacious and include a sitting area and each is unique in style. The upstairs rooms have wooden balconies and the downstairs rooms have large tiled verandas. The house has it's own staff, guides and vehicles for exclusive use.

Activities offered here include guided safari walks, game drives and night drives in private vehicles. Guests can also visit the local village and school.

Pricing guidelines for Zambia

  • Open Panel

We hope the following will give you a rough idea of costs. These are quoted per person based on twin share for two people, without international flights but including internal flights. We’ve used good standard accommodation throughout. There are nearly always ways to spend more money than we’ve suggested (!), but these prices show a good and realistic range for each type of trip.

International flights will add from about £600 to £800 depending on the season and route (unless airlines have special offers). Zambia combines well with Malawi and Botswana.

For each accommodation on this website you will find an indication of the price. The bands are based on the price per person per night at peak season and are represented by the following values for this country:

  £50 to £150

Having known about this private house for years and seen photos of it, I thought I knew what to expect ... but nothing on 'paper' can convey the shear scale of this place!  The front door was made by giants and the huge main area open to the high ceiling gives the feeling of being in your own castle!  For families and groups of friends, this is a fantastic option.
