    Classic Zambia

A superb safari combining time in South Luangwa National Park (at Robin Pope Safaris camps) and the Lower Zambezi National Park. Luxury accommodation and first-class guiding is given throughout the trip.

Robin Pope Safaris' Nkwali Camp is open year round and their seasonal camps are open end of May to end of October (Tena Tena and Nsefu).  Chongwe in Lower Zambezi is open from April to mid November, depending on the rains, Tongabezi is open all year, the falls are at peak flood early in the year, Jan - March.

This combination of the two main national parks of Zambia and the world famous Victoria Falls is a classic favourite.  South Luangwa offers some of the best game vieiwng in Africa in a unique habitat with it's winding river supporting a network of ox bow lagoons and side streams, surrounded by sausage trees, winterthorns and beautiful ebony groves, it is quite unique in it's vegetation.  Luangwa supports a strong population of leopard which are often seen on the night drives and has more hippos per km of river than anywhere else in Africa!  Lower Zambezi is a beautiful setting and Chongwe in particular has an amazing view across to the hills as it sits on the confluence of the mighty Zambezi and the quieter Chongwe tributary.  Canoeing and motor boat safaris are a highlight here.  Tongabezi is a luxury lodge with individually styled rooms in a bush setting near to the falls and they include many local activities in their rates.

    Tailor made.

    Pricing guidelines for Zambia

    • Open Panel

We hope the following will give you a rough idea of costs. These are quoted per person based on twin share for two people, without international flights but including internal flights. We’ve used good standard accommodation throughout. There are nearly always ways to spend more money than we’ve suggested (!), but these prices show a good and realistic range for each type of trip.

International flights will add from about £600 to £800 depending on the season and route (unless airlines have special offers). Zambia combines well with Malawi and Botswana.

For a specific personal quote based on any tailor made itinerary you have in mind, please contact us and we’ll be happy to help you.
