Tafika Camp is situated adjacent to the Nsefu sector of South Luangwa National Park. The remote location is ideal for those who really want to get away from it all. Located on the banks of the Luangwa River, it offers a relaxing and peaceful base from which to enjoy game viewing on foot and by road. There is also a huge variety of birdlife. There is also the chance of a taking a microlight flight to view the area and wildlife from the air. Visits can be arranged to the nearby village and school that the camp helps to support.
There are 5 spacious chalets that can accommodate a maximum of 10 guests. These are built with local materials and have en-suite facilities, including an open air shower. Shaded from the hot noon-day sun by giant Leadwood trees, there are plenty of quiet spots to sit and watch activity on the river, read, or just relax and listen to the sounds of the bush. The food is excellent and utilises fresh fruit and vegetables from the kitchen garden.
