Mfuwe Lodge

Mfuwe Lodge is a unique lodge situated in the South Luangwa National Park. The lodge overlooks a beautiful oxbow lagoon and the area boasts one of the largest concentrations of wildlife in the world.

There are 18 luxury en-suite thatched chalets, each with a private decking area overlooking a lagoon that attracts abundant wildlife and game from the African bush by day and night. The chalets have 24hour mains power, ceiling fan, refrigerator and tea and coffee making facilities. They all have en-suite bathrooms with sunken baths and integral showers. 

Meals are served in a variety of locations, including in the bush and dinner by candlelight beneath the stars. The lodge has a small library stocked with wildlife books and videos.  

Activities offered here include game drives with an experienced and knowledgeable guides, both by day and night. Walking safaris to view and track animals on foot are also available.  The lodge is the base for the Bush Camp Company who have 5 bush camps in the southern part of South Luangwa.  Mfuwe Lodge is often a first night or lunch stop to freshen up before you venture deeper into the park.
