Kalamu Bush Camp is situated in the Luamfwa Concession in the southern sector of the South Luangwa National Park. The comfortable accommodation consists of 5 Meru-style tents, each en suite with an indoor and outdoor shower. The camp’s dining and bar area is set under a canopy of trees with views across the Luangwa River.
Activities include game drives, night drives and guided game and birding walks. South Luangwa National Park is well known for its rich variety of game, which include elehpant, buffalo and Thornicroft's giraffe. There are also several species of antelope, hippo and crocodile, and the main predators are lion, leopard, spotted hyaena and wild dogs.
Please note: Kalamu Bush Camp will be closed for the duration of the 2009 season. A good alternative camp in the area is Kalamu Lagoon Camp.
