Mweya Safari Lodge is beautifully situated offering a grandstand view over the Kazinga Channel. The 46 rooms and suites, all with en suite bathrooms and private balconies, overlook either the Kazinga Channel or Lake Edward.

The elegant, air-conditioned Kazinga Channel Restaurant serves international cuisine from an a àla carte menu or a buffet. There is often a barbecue on Saturday nights. There is a swimming pool to enjoy at the end of the day and a poolside bar. The lodge also has a shop selling toiletries, books and safari gear.

Activities include launch cruises along the Kazinga Channel, game drives in the national park, nature walks, boat trips to the chimpanzee sanctuary on Izinga Island, chimpanzee tracking walks and bird-watching.

Pricing guidelines for Uganda

We hope the following will give you a rough idea of costs. These are quoted per person based on twin share for two people, without international flights but including internal flights. We’ve used good standard accommodation throughout. There are nearly always ways to spend more money than we’ve suggested (!), but these prices show a good and realistic range for each type of trip.

International flights will add from about £500 to £700 depending on the season and route (unless the airlines have special offers). Uganda combines well with Rwanda and Kenya. Please note that gorillas permits add on about US$500 per visit. We charge these to you at the time of booking.
