Best of Uganda

This is a 12 day trip that is well paced to take you to the very best of Uganda’s national parks. There is excellent game viewing for plains animals as well as lions, hippos and elephants at Queen Elizabeth National Park. At Kibale there are chimps and lots of other primates as well as wetlands for some excellent birding. At Bwindi Impenetrable Forest we’ll go gorilla trekking and at Lake Bunyoni we have the chance to relax in this fabulous landscape.

Gorilla permits (currently US$500 per person per trek) are extra to the price and must be paid in full on deposit to secure them, they do get booked up far in advance so early planning is advised!

We tailor make this trip to suit you at any time so the itinerary can be changed but this is a suggestion which takes in a mixture of safari, primate tracking and scenery of Uganda.

Note that the chimp tracking in Chamburu Gorge is subject to availability and the main place to track chimps will be at Kibale Forest. The trip to Ngamba Island could be either on arrival or departure day (if your flight arrives too late in the day to do it on arrival, you could add it on the morning after your last night in Entebbe before you take a night flight home).

Tailor made at any date.

Pricing guidelines for Uganda

  • Open Panel

We hope the following will give you a rough idea of costs. These are quoted per person based on twin share for two people, without international flights but including internal flights. We’ve used good standard accommodation throughout. There are nearly always ways to spend more money than we’ve suggested (!), but these prices show a good and realistic range for each type of trip.

International flights will add from about £500 to £700 depending on the season and route (unless the airlines have special offers). Uganda combines well with Rwanda and Kenya. Please note that gorillas permits add on about US$500 per visit. We charge these to you at the time of booking.

For each accommodation on this website you will find an indication of the price. The bands are based on the price per person per night at peak season and are represented by the following values for this country:
