Sophie's Motel is situated in the smart residential area of Bugonga in Entebbe and overlooks Lake Victoria. Just a short drive from the airport makes this a convenient place to stay for guests arriving into and departing from Uganda. The guest rooms are spacious with ensuite bathrooms and telephones. There are also deluxe rooms which are further equipped with TV and a mini bar. Some rooms are situated in the main buidling while other cottage-style rooms are located in the large gardens.

Continental breakfast is served daily and is included in the rate. The Breeze restaurant and bar offers a menu with a selection of local delicacies and guests can dine on the patio looking across Lake Victoria. Drinks available include locally produced beer, soft drinks, spirits and wines. Guests can relax in the beautiful and colourful gardens. The motel has an internet cafe available for guests to use.

We hope the following will give you a rough idea of costs. These are quoted per person based on twin share for two people, without international flights but including internal flights. We’ve used good standard accommodation throughout. There are nearly always ways to spend more money than we’ve suggested (!), but these prices show a good and realistic range for each type of trip.

International flights will add from about £500 to £700 depending on the season and route (unless the airlines have special offers). Uganda combines well with Rwanda and Kenya. Please note that gorillas permits add on about US$500 per visit. We charge these to you at the time of booking.

For each accommodation on this website you will find an indication of the price. The bands are based on the price per person per night at peak season and are represented by the following values for this country:
