About Nile Safari Lodge

  • Close Panel

Set in the northwest of Uganda in Murchison Falls National Park, Nile Safari Lodge has a lovely setting on the river Nile, downstream from the famous Falls.

There are 6 wooden cabins and 4 tents covered with thatch. All the rooms have a river view from their verandah. The rooms have twin beds and en-suite bathrooms with flush loo and an outside bucket shower. Tents 1-4 have solar power and the rest run on power from a generator. Rooms 7 and 8 are family cabins.

There is a nice swimming pool. It is quite a walk from the main building, but has a good view over the Nile and is a pleasant place to while away an afternoon.

Most of the staff are local and it is a friendly place. The food is good.

This is our favourite lodge in the park.

Pricing guidelines for Uganda

  • Open Panel

We hope the following will give you a rough idea of costs. These are quoted per person based on twin share for two people, without international flights but including internal flights. We’ve used good standard accommodation throughout. There are nearly always ways to spend more money than we’ve suggested (!), but these prices show a good and realistic range for each type of trip.

International flights will add from about £500 to £700 depending on the season and route (unless the airlines have special offers). Uganda combines well with Rwanda and Kenya. Please note that gorillas permits add on about US$500 per visit. We charge these to you at the time of booking.

For each accommodation on this website you will find an indication of the price. The bands are based on the price per person per night at peak season and are represented by the following values for this country:

  £50 to £150
