About Emin Pasha Hotel

  • Close Panel

Emin Pasha Hotel is set in 2 acres of parkland within walking distance of central Kampala and is a tropical version of the country house hotel. The main house dates back to the 1920s and is a fine example of colonial architecture. Each of the 20 guest rooms is individual in layout, decor and size and all are airconditioned and have TV, internet access and tea and coffee making facilities. The ensuite bathrooms have either cast iron bathtubs or giant tropical 'monsoon' showers. The rooms have private patios or balconies with views over the gardens.

The Fez Brasserie and Wine Bar is a perfect place to relax with its comfortable sofas and armchairs. There is also an upstairs terrace, ideal for sundowners. The restaurant, which opens out on to the garden terrace, serves a variety of dishes based on fresh, local produce. The hotel also offers massage, reflexology and beauty treatments. There is a swimming pool where guests can cool off, or relax while enjoying a drink from the pool bar. Other amenities include a library and two guest lounges.

Pricing guidelines for Uganda

  • Open Panel

We hope the following will give you a rough idea of costs. These are quoted per person based on twin share for two people, without international flights but including internal flights. We’ve used good standard accommodation throughout. There are nearly always ways to spend more money than we’ve suggested (!), but these prices show a good and realistic range for each type of trip.

International flights will add from about £500 to £700 depending on the season and route (unless the airlines have special offers). Uganda combines well with Rwanda and Kenya. Please note that gorillas permits add on about US$500 per visit. We charge these to you at the time of booking.

For each accommodation on this website you will find an indication of the price. The bands are based on the price per person per night at peak season and are represented by the following values for this country:

  £50 to £150
