About Bwindi Lodge

  • Close Panel

Bwindi Lodge overlooks the spectacular primeval Bwindi Impenetrable Forest, home to gorillas, monkeys, chimpanzees and birds. Amidst the many noises of forest life, Bwindi Lodge is the perfect place to experience the magic of this impenetrable forest. The tented camp that was there previously has now been replaced by a newly-built, stunning eco-lodge comprising eight bandas, where guests can relax with a massage after gorilla trekking.

The Bwindi Lodge bandas have thatched roofs and private verandahs. The verandahs provide its guests with excellent views and gorillas, chimpanzees and birds can often be heard screeching near the river below. The bandas are comfortably equipped with twin beds, a vanity area, coffee table, en-suite shower and toilet. The showers are of an eco-friendly design consisting of a large canvas bucket with water provided by the lodge staff. The thatched open-sided bar and dining area contains a fabulous log fireplace which provides a cozy and warm gathering area with excellent views of the surrounding forest.

Pricing guidelines for Uganda

  • Open Panel

We hope the following will give you a rough idea of costs. These are quoted per person based on twin share for two people, without international flights but including internal flights. We’ve used good standard accommodation throughout. There are nearly always ways to spend more money than we’ve suggested (!), but these prices show a good and realistic range for each type of trip.

International flights will add from about £500 to £700 depending on the season and route (unless the airlines have special offers). Uganda combines well with Rwanda and Kenya. Please note that gorillas permits add on about US$500 per visit. We charge these to you at the time of booking.

For each accommodation on this website you will find an indication of the price. The bands are based on the price per person per night at peak season and are represented by the following values for this country:
