About Arusha Hotel

  • Close Panel

The Arusha Hotel is by the famous clock tower in Arusha (marking the half way point between south and north of Africa!).

This is a modern and well equipped hotel with rooms in the main block and in a garden block - the grounds are heavilly shaded with tropical plants and trees and there is a heated swimming pool and gym. The rooms are all en-suite and have comfortable beds, fans, safes and tvs. The large dining area has an outside balcony and the bar opens into the gardens, there is a smaller bar area serving snacks at the pool. Wireless internet can be made available and major credit cards are accepted.

The staff are multi lingual and the hotel offers a luggage storage facility whilst clients are on safari if needed.

Pricing guidelines for Tanzania

We hope the following will give you a rough idea of costs. These are quoted per person based on twin share for two people, without international flights but including internal flights. We’ve used good standard accommodation throughout. There are nearly always ways to spend more money than we’ve suggested (!), but these prices show a good and realistic range for each type of trip.

International flights will add from about £600 to £800 depending on the season and route (unless the airlines have special offers). Tanzania can combine easily with other East African countries.

For each accommodation on this website you will find an indication of the price. The bands are based on the price per person per night at peak season and are represented by the following values for this country:
£

  £50 to £150

  £150 to £300

  £300 to £500

If you want to be within walking distance of Arusha's shops, this is the place to stay. It is an old hotel which was refurbished a few years ago and now offers a good standard of 'standard' hotel. It feels comfortable and professional. There is a pool in the large garden, a gym, a choice of restaurants and bars. A good choice perhaps for a first night or maybe a last night in the region.

You wouldn't know this hotel is in the centre of town - especially I'd recommend a room in the 'garden block' not the main building, as it's much quieter.  The tropical gardens are lovely and lush and a bit of an oasis from the dusty streets surrounding it!  The breakfast buffet was fantastic and it's perfectly adequate for an overnight stop.
