About Arusha Coffee Lodge

  • Close Panel

Arusha Coffee Lodge is situated just off the main road, a few minutes from Arusha airport. It is an ideal one or two night stopover hotel if you need some time in Arusha, or if you need to be close to the airport for an early morning flight.

There are 30 plantation houses (including 12 suites) dotted around a still-functioning coffee plantation and the plantation coffee is served at the lodge.

The rooms are very tastefully furnished, with living areas, king-size beds, wood burning stoves (in the houses),wooden floors, and tiled en-suite bathrooms and private verandas. The coffee theme is apparent in the style of the rooms, with dark wood fittings and lots of natural fibres in the furnishings. There is a mini bar, and coffee making facilities in all rooms, and room service is available.

Arusha Coffee Lodge has a good size pool with a large wooden deck. The restaurant serves good meals, and there is a large pleasant bar near the entrance next to a large pond with a bridge over it. There is also a coffee shop, boutiques, art and craft shops and a patisserie.

Pricing guidelines for Tanzania

  • Open Panel

We hope the following will give you a rough idea of costs. These are quoted per person based on twin share for two people, without international flights but including internal flights. We’ve used good standard accommodation throughout. There are nearly always ways to spend more money than we’ve suggested (!), but these prices show a good and realistic range for each type of trip.

International flights will add from about £600 to £800 depending on the season and route (unless the airlines have special offers). Tanzania can combine easily with other East African countries.

For each accommodation on this website you will find an indication of the price. The bands are based on the price per person per night at peak season and are represented by the following values for this country:
£

  £50 to £150

  £150 to £300

  £300 to £500

If you need a night in Arusha and don't want to a 'standard' kind of hotel, Arusha Coffee Lodge is a good choice for a good quality stopover. Even though it's on the main road into Arusha coming in from Manyara, it has a tranquil feeling to it as the rooms are all spread out amongst the coffee plantation, and the tall old trees dotted throughout the grounds are beautiful. The staff are friendly and helpful. I can't see many people needing more than one or two nights here, but for that it's ideal.
