Arusha
Arusha is in northern Tanzania, at the foot of Mount Meru. It is the main hub of the region, and the main base from which northern Tanzania safari operators work. It is about an hour from Kilimanjaro International Airport.
Dar es Salaam and surrounds
Originally a fishing village, Dar es Salaam has developed into a modern bustling centre for Tanzania's commercial and social affairs.
Stone Town
Stone Town is the old quarter of Zanzibar Town, the capital of Unguja Island, the biggest island on the Zanzibar archipelago.
