    About Zanzibar Palace Hotel

    • Close Panel

Zanzibar Palace Hotel is a 9 room boutique hotel set in a restored Zanzibari former palace in the heart of Stone Town, just a short walk from the sea front. The hotel is tastefully and authentically decorated in a mixture of Arabian, English and Indian designs, the hotel nonetheless has all modern conveniences such as air conditioning. All the bedrooms are individually decorated and unique in design. A strong mix of Arab and Indian influence is evident in the architecture and its spacious rooms are decorated in true Zanzibari style with colours and furnishings including majestic beds, lattice work shutters and well equipped bathrooms.

The hotel has a restaurant serving French cuisine, an Arabic lounge bar, a book and DVD library. There is an internet service, 24 hour room service, laundry and a tourist information corner.  The hotel is owner run and the staff can speak English, French, German or Dutch.  The restaurant and bar are flexible to mal times throughout the day.

There are three standards of rooms, two smaller rooms, Nadia and Rosewood have double beds, the Luxury rooms (Kijani, Shaba, Farizah, Sultana, Baina) are bigger and can accommodate additional people if necessary.

There are two huge luxury suites, Sherali and Dunia, perfect for honeymoons with bath tubs and great views and can also be extended to sleep an extra person.

All rooms have ceiling fans, mosquito nets, 24 hrs room service, telephone, digital safe, TV with cable network, DVD player, bathrobes, bath and massage oils and hair dryer.  Besides the Sherali Suite (which has large wodden sliding windows - without glass, with mossie nets), all rooms have air conditioning.

Excursions can be arranged to sites around Zanzibar. Many of Stone Town's best known sites are in walking distance from the hotel.

    Pricing guidelines for Tanzania

    • Open Panel

We hope the following will give you a rough idea of costs. These are quoted per person based on twin share for two people, without international flights but including internal flights. We’ve used good standard accommodation throughout. There are nearly always ways to spend more money than we’ve suggested (!), but these prices show a good and realistic range for each type of trip.

International flights will add from about £600 to £800 depending on the season and route (unless the airlines have special offers). Tanzania can combine easily with other East African countries.

For a specific personal quote based on any tailor made itinerary you have in mind, please contact us and we’ll be happy to help you.
