Unguja Resort is an up market small scale hotel in Kizimkazi on the southern tip of Zanzibar. Accommodation is in 11 spacious private bungalows, each with its own terrace with views over the Indian Ocean. All bungalows are beautifully decorated in Zanzibar style. There are 7 sea view villas, 3 baobab villas and 1 familiy villa.
The resort has a lovely garden with old mango and baobab trees in which many indigenous animals find their home. The rare red colobus monkeys often come and play. A nature trail leads down to the white beach. In the middle of the tropical garden is a large swimming pool, where guests can relax while enjoying the services from our bar and restaurant.
There is a dive centre on site. After diving or snorkeling, watching dolphins or after a relaxing day on the beach guests can make themselves at home in the bar area overlooking the ocean and enjoy an excellent cocktail made with fresh fruit.
The restaurant serves an excellent breakfast, lunch and dinner. The chef makes use of many local Zanzibar ingredients such as fresh seafood and exotic spices. A private barbeque lunch on one of the small deserted islands near the southern coast can be organized for guests.
