About The Zanzibari

  • Close Panel

With just 8 rooms, The Zanzibari offers a peaceful and relaxing stay on the northern tip of Zanzibar. Set on a cliff, The Zanzibari has wonderful views out over the Indian Ocean. All rooms are air conditioned and have ensuite bathroom with bath and separate shower. They also have tea and coffee making facilities, 'fridge and safe. Each room has its own private balcony with superb sea views.

There is PADI dive centre nearby and there is also good snorkelling in the area. Kayaking, windsurfing and fishing are also popular activities. The Zanzibari can arrange a number of excursions including a spice tour, historical tour and cultural visit to a nearby village. Guests can also take relaxing dhow cruises. There is a lovely infinity pool set in the lush tropical gardens and the fishing village of Nungwi is just a 5 minute walk away and is well worth a visit.

The spa at the Zanzibari offers a range of treatments. Private and group yoga classes are also available, incorporating breathing techniques, flowing postures, sun salutations and relaxation. Reiki is also offered to guests. This is a simple, non-invasive healing system and benefits include deep relaxation and the release of tension, better sleep, reduced blood pressure and the acceleration of the body's self-healing abilities.

The cuisine is continental with an emphasis on fresh seafood, served in the airy dining room. Outside main meal times a variety of snacks is available. The dhow bar is well stocked with wines, beers and spirits as well as juices and refreshing non alcoholic drinks. Guests can relax in the lounge, which has a TV and internet access.

Pricing guidelines for Tanzania

  • Open Panel

We hope the following will give you a rough idea of costs. These are quoted per person based on twin share for two people, without international flights but including internal flights. We’ve used good standard accommodation throughout. There are nearly always ways to spend more money than we’ve suggested (!), but these prices show a good and realistic range for each type of trip.

International flights will add from about £600 to £800 depending on the season and route (unless the airlines have special offers). Tanzania can combine easily with other East African countries.

For each accommodation on this website you will find an indication of the price. The bands are based on the price per person per night at peak season and are represented by the following values for this country:
£

  £50 to £150

  £150 to £300
