    About Sayari Camp

    • Close Panel

Sayari Camp is situated at a fantastic site on the Mara River in the remote northern Serengeti, one of Africa’s best kept secrets! Sayari Camp is ideally located to witness the great migration between August and November across the Mara River, weather depending, but is great all year round and has recently become a permanent camp (July 2009).

As well as game drives, Sayarai Camp also offers walking safaris in the early morning and late afternoon.

The camp is personal and original and is divided into 2 wings, one with 9 tents and one with 6. Each wing has it's own bar and lounge tent so that the areas can be more personal.  Each tent is very spacious and has its own veranda with comfy chairs to enjoy the beautiful view of the Serengeti on a wooden platform with sliding glass doors. Inside are comfortable king-sized beds, beautiful traditional fabrics and contemporary furniture. The en-suite bathrooms have flush toilets, a double sink, bathtub and shower - all done in an environmentally-friendly way. In addition there is one suite, ideal for honeymooners or guests wanting a little more privacy, complete with private butler and two rock baths, one indoor and one outside.

The camp's central area has a large comfortable lounge with a bar. The 2 'chill-out' areas make ideal places to relax and enjoy the peaceful setting. There is also a rock swimming pool.

Great food - a fusion of authentic African and nouvelle European cuisine - is served to compliment the atmosphere in this idyllic bush retreat.

    Pricing guidelines for Tanzania

    • Open Panel

We hope the following will give you a rough idea of costs. These are quoted per person based on twin share for two people, without international flights but including internal flights. We’ve used good standard accommodation throughout. There are nearly always ways to spend more money than we’ve suggested (!), but these prices show a good and realistic range for each type of trip.

International flights will add from about £600 to £800 depending on the season and route (unless the airlines have special offers). Tanzania can combine easily with other East African countries.

For a specific personal quote based on any tailor made itinerary you have in mind, please contact us and we’ll be happy to help you.
