    About Rivertrees Country Inn

    • Close Panel
Rivertrees Country Inn is a small country inn accommodating up to 30 guests in 14 rooms, guaranteeing privacy, personal attention and service. The self-contained guestrooms are located either in the main farmhouse or within the 10-acre gardens and flower farm that run along the Usa River. There is also a new 'River House' containing two double suites with its own deck surrounding the house backing onto the river and it's own kitchen, lounge and gallery level snug.

Two 'River Cottages' offer private decks and woodburning fireplaces they also have outdoor showers and are on the riverbank. The emphasis is on providing comfortable accommodation; each room is individually styled and uniquely furnished with its own character.

The old farm house, restaurant and pub are cosily furnished. Combining old world ambiance, African country elegance, excellent farm cuisine, and personal service, Rivertrees is a welcoming place to stay. Nature, harmony and well being are the focal point at Rivertrees with acres of lush and mature gardens where guests can relax or walk undisturbed under the shade of many trees. Inviting fire places ward off the evening chill and country style kitchens round off the picture of a peaceful African home. Cherished photographs and furnishings reflect life of a bygone era and paintings and book shelves line the walls. Much of the food served here is home grown and the kitchen is open to the gardens.

Email, fax, internet services, a small gift shop, satellite T.V and laundry services are available.

The area abounds with birdlife, making it a haven for ornithological enthusiasts, and offers breathtaking views of Mount Kilimanjaro and Mount Meru.  Beyond the gardens, grass lined pathways lead to the swimming pool and Usa River that flows through the property.

Rivertrees Country Inn is a twenty-minute drive from Arusha and 20 minutes from Kilimanjaro Airport.

    Pricing guidelines for Tanzania

    • Open Panel

We hope the following will give you a rough idea of costs. These are quoted per person based on twin share for two people, without international flights but including internal flights. We’ve used good standard accommodation throughout. There are nearly always ways to spend more money than we’ve suggested (!), but these prices show a good and realistic range for each type of trip.

International flights will add from about £600 to £800 depending on the season and route (unless the airlines have special offers). Tanzania can combine easily with other East African countries.

For a specific personal quote based on any tailor made itinerary you have in mind, please contact us and we’ll be happy to help you.
