Nungwi Village Beach Resort has sea-view rooms which are built in double-storey makuti thatch blocks. They a’re simply but attractively furnished and decorated with African designs and paintings by local Zanzibari artists. The standard rooms are located away from the seafront in an enclosed courtyard with two wings of eight rooms. The rooms have air-conditioners, en-suite facilities and double, twin or single beds.
The hotel is located on a beautiful beach where you can swim for most of the day, the local fishing village of Nungwi is next door and you can watch the local people making traditional Dhow boats, walk along the beach and watch the fishermen at work. There is a local aquarium nearby and a lighthouse.
