    About Lake Manyara Tree Lodge

    • Close Panel

Situated about a kilometre from the lakeshore, Lake Manyara Tree Lodge has ten treehouses built on stilts in the boughs of ancient mahogany trees, discreetly tucked away in the forest.

The tree houses have been crafted from local timber and makuti (palm fronds) and feature large open decks and spacious rooms with large windows to invite the flourishing forest into the luxurious elegance of each room. The interiors of the tree houses are a combination of natural fibres, pure cotton linen and contemporary furnishings.  The beds can be either double or twin.  Overhead fans and mosquito nets as well as en suite bathrooms with baths and large twin hand basins ensure that every comfort is attended to. There is an outdoor shower while the private verandas offer extensive views of the lovely forest environment.

    Pricing guidelines for Tanzania

    • Open Panel

We hope the following will give you a rough idea of costs. These are quoted per person based on twin share for two people, without international flights but including internal flights. We’ve used good standard accommodation throughout. There are nearly always ways to spend more money than we’ve suggested (!), but these prices show a good and realistic range for each type of trip.

International flights will add from about £600 to £800 depending on the season and route (unless the airlines have special offers). Tanzania can combine easily with other East African countries.

For a specific personal quote based on any tailor made itinerary you have in mind, please contact us and we’ll be happy to help you.
