Arusha Coffee Lodge is situated just off the main road, a few minutes from Arusha airport. The 20 beautifully-restored plantation houses are dotted around a still functioning coffee plantation –the largest in Tanzania - and the plantation coffee is served at the lodge. The rooms are very tastefully furnished, with split-level living areas, king-size beds, wood burning stoves,w ooden floors, crystal glass decanters and tiled en-suite bathrooms and private verandas. The coffee theme is apparent in the style of the rooms, with dark wood fittings and lots of natural fibres in the furnishings. There is a mini bar, and of course, coffee making facilities in all rooms, and room service is available. Arusha Coffee Lodge has a good size pool with a large wooden deck. The restaurant serves good lunches, and there is a large pleasant bar near the entrance next to a large pond with a bridge over it. There is also a coffee shop, boutiques, art and craft shops and a patisserie.
Activities: Tours of the coffee estate, trips to the markets in Arusha and helicopter flights to Kilimanjaro.
