About Auberge Bligny

  • Close Panel

This property located in Franschhoek, has a long history starting 300 years ago in a place in France called Bligny. This 1860 Victorian homestead has been converted into a guest house over a decade ago and is owner managed. The décor reflects the past times of the early settlers and is situated within easy reach of local restaurants and wine farms. Hearty breakfasts are served here -in winter round the fireplace and in summer on the terrace overlooking the pool and mountains.

The guest house has nine en-suite rooms; all with a private entrance, there is also a luxury loft room, connecting family rooms and wheelchair access.

Lots of local activities are available. As well as wine cellar tours, there are walking trails, bikes for hire, horse riding and several great restaurants just 3 minutes walk from the guest house (advance booking recommended, Auberge Bligny can do this for you.

Pricing guidelines for South Africa

  • Open Panel

We hope the following will give you a rough idea of costs. These are quoted per person based on twin share for two people, without international flights but including internal flights. We’ve used good standard accommodation throughout. There are nearly always ways to spend more money than we’ve suggested (!), but these prices show a good and realistic range for each type of trip.

International flights will add from about £600 to £800 depending on the season and route (unless the airlines have special offers). South Africa combines well with Botswana, Mauritius and Mozambique.

For each accommodation on this website you will find an indication of the price. The bands are based on the price per person per night at peak season and are represented by the following values for this country:
£

  £50 to £100

  £100 to £200
