About Cottage Pie Guest House

  • Close Panel

Cottage Pie Guest House is a welcoming guest house in one of the most attractive parts of the Garden Route. The pretty whitewashed buildings house 8 rooms and suites, all with ensuite shower or bath and many with patio or courtyard. The spacious honeymoon and executive suites also have a separate lounge area and private balcony.

Just 100 metres from Robberg Beach and a 5 minute drive from Plettenberg Bay's Main Street with its shops, galleries, cafes, restaurants and bars, Cottage Pie is an ideal base from which to explore this lovely region. The owners can arrange various excursions including forest hikes, horse rides along the beach and deep sea fishing. More activities are available locally, including rock climbing, mountain biking, canoeing, snorkelling, windsurfing and diving. Robberg Nature Reserve, a world heritage site, has some great walking trails and this area is known for whale and dolphin sitings.

Guests are also welcome to relax at the guest house, with its lovely gardens and refreshing swimming pool, with sun loungers and parasols. There is also a shaded terrace with comfy sofas when the heat is too strong. Guest can also use the outdoor barbecue facilities. Indoors there is a comfortable lounge/dining area. Breakfast can be a light, continental dish or a full cooked meal and is served on the patio beside the pool.

Pricing guidelines for South Africa

  • Open Panel

We hope the following will give you a rough idea of costs. These are quoted per person based on twin share for two people, without international flights but including internal flights. We’ve used good standard accommodation throughout. There are nearly always ways to spend more money than we’ve suggested (!), but these prices show a good and realistic range for each type of trip.

International flights will add from about £600 to £800 depending on the season and route (unless the airlines have special offers). South Africa combines well with Botswana, Mauritius and Mozambique.

For each accommodation on this website you will find an indication of the price. The bands are based on the price per person per night at peak season and are represented by the following values for this country:
£

  £50 to £100

  £100 to £200

£££

  £200 to £300

Located on a small side street on the edge of Plett, right by the beach, this is a clean, comfortable accommodation in a quiet area. We had a light and airy superior deluxe room (these are the nicest so request one on booking). The manager was really helpful and gave us a map and suggestions of things to do/where to eat.
