Thanda Tented Safari Camp consists of 14 spacious and superbly equipped tents, located a 15-minute drive from the main lodge. The guest tents all have large, comfortable beds, wooden furntiure and floors and ensuite canvas bathrooms. They have views out over the game reserve.
In early 2012, the whole camp underwent refurbishment, to provide better facilities and services to guests. There is an attractive new reception area, a curio shop, a new lounge area and an improved dining tent. The camp now features a spa, run by Africology, offering a range of treatments, allowing guests to relax and unwind between game drives. There is also an infinity pool and an outdoor boma.
There are morning and evening game drives in open Land Rovers, guided bush walks, bush breakfasts and dinners and excursions to St Lucia. Other activities that can be arranged here are horse riding on the beach, diving and snorkelling and whale watching (seasonal).
