About Bayethe Lodge

  • Close Panel

Bayethe Lodge is a luxury tented camp in the Shamwari Game Reserve. It has been carefully designed to blend in with the natural bush surroundings and offers the ultimate in luxury tented accommodation. The 9 tents are arranged along the riverbank, under trees allowing ample privacy. Each tent has an en-suite bathroom, shower, private plunge pool and viewing deck. In addition there are 3 premier tents at Bayethe Hills, each with its fireplace, hammocks set over the decks and satelite TV.

A magnificent bushveld-type lodge made of stone and thatch houses the lounge and dining room. The lodge also has an outdoor banquet boma, a swimming pool and viewing deck framed by trees overlooking the Buffalo River, a tributary to the great Bushmans River, where animals gather to drink.

Guests can take part in early morning and evening game viewing drives in open landrovers. The lodge also offers guided nature walks and bird watching to its guests.

Pricing guidelines for South Africa

  • Open Panel

We hope the following will give you a rough idea of costs. These are quoted per person based on twin share for two people, without international flights but including internal flights. We’ve used good standard accommodation throughout. There are nearly always ways to spend more money than we’ve suggested (!), but these prices show a good and realistic range for each type of trip.

International flights will add from about £600 to £800 depending on the season and route (unless the airlines have special offers). South Africa combines well with Botswana, Mauritius and Mozambique.

For each accommodation on this website you will find an indication of the price. The bands are based on the price per person per night at peak season and are represented by the following values for this country:
