An 8 night/9 day guided conservation safari in South Africa.

Here are a few ways in which to enjoy the incredible Kruger National Park within different budgets. The combinations are endless, but we feel each of these options offer a good experience.

The Amadiba Community invites you to experience a journey into the wilderness, landscape, culture and history of the beautiful Transkei Wild Coast. Interact directly with the people and the place as you cross 25kms of the coast on horse, by foot and in canoes. Whether you are a beginner or skilled rider, the horse trails are guided at a pace that encourages low impact on the natural environment whilst offering you the chance to absorb all that this incredible area has to offer. Facilities and services are provided and owned by self-employed individuals.

A fascinating insight to the history of the people of South Africa, including visits to cave paintings, historical sites, fossils and accompanied by a highly trained guide.

Enjoy KwaZulu Natal's prolific wildlife, stunning scenery and turbulent history on a short but picturesque and fascinating trip.

A really wonderful week exploring the stunning sights and tastes of Cape Town, Cape Peninsula and the nearby wine-growing district around Stellenbosch and Franschhoek. Based on self-drive and staying in lovely, personal guest houses or boutique hotels.

A winning combination, based on self-drive, but using guides wherever they will add to your experience. We've also based this on some gorgeous and interesting places to stay. If you wish to make the trip even more fair trade based, ask about using Hazel's Homestays in Oudtshoorn!

An extensive guided tour of the Western Cape and the Kalahari, including a look at Fish River Canyon in Namibia.

A fascinating exploration of the customs and traditions of two indigenous cultures. With your own driver/guide you can find out about the Shangaan and Ndebele tribes as you visit their communities and meet the villagers. This short but exciting journey also includes gameviewing in the Kruger, and an insight into Soweto.
Variety is the spice of life, and this trip is very spicy! Enjoy a remote nature retreat, picnicking in a magical garden, a chance to visit meerkats, meeting elephants in Knysna, a fabulous eco-marine encounter... plus we give you special places to stay and introduce you to some remarkable people.

You'll get to see all the fabulous sights such as Table Mountain, the Castle, the market, Houses of Parliament and Bo-Kaap, plus plenty of free time to explore Cape Town on your own. The Peninsula Tour will take you to the beaches of Clifton and Camps Bay, the Cape of Good Hope, the penguins at Boulders' Beach, plus the beautiful Kirstenbosch Gardens. Finally, to the stunning Winelands, with a full day tour of wine, cheese and chocoloate?
With truly stunning scenery and fantastic wildlife, Kruger is one of the not-to-be-missed places in South Africa. We take you game viewing in this iconic region and give you an insight into the wonderful work of the Moholoholo wildlife rehabilitation centre. En route, you travel along part of the spectacular Panorama Route, taking in the breathtaking view from the aptly-named God's Window.
KwaZulu Natal in the east of South Africa is a huge area with a great diversity of incredible sights and experiences for any traveller. Incredible wildlife, fabulous beaches and fascinating history and culture - this holiday is diverse, exciting and relaxing. All your transfers are taken care of (no self-driving), and you’ll get to see some of the best places in this amazing region. Oh, and did we mention that we also pop over the border into Mozambique?

For stunning scenery and excellent walking from welcoming and comfortable lodges, the Drakensberg can't be beaten. It takes about 3-4 hours to drive from either Johannesburg or Durban, then the Drakensberg are yours to explore, either alone or with a guide from your chosen lodge. Four nights gives you time to explore the region, though you may be tempted to stay longer.

This is a wonderful itinerary combining excellent game viewing in Kruger, Timbavati and Mkhaya Reserves, with sightseeing in the Blyde River Canyon region and a chance to get an insight into traditional Swazi culture.

A family Kruger wildlife safari after visiting Cape Town, the Winelands, and the Garden Route. Wow!

Enjoy splendid wildlife viewing in private ares of the Greater Kruger and cross into Botswana to stay in a fabulous luxury lodge for game viewing, walks, cycling or horse rides.

The highlight of this trip is the hugely rewarding Madikwe Game Reserve (malaria-free) with its excellent gameviewing. Jaci's Safari Lodge always gets rave reviews from our clients, and it is also very child-friendly if you want to take the family on safari. The Grace is a perfect haven in Johannesburg, and if you add an optional half day trip to Soweto at the end, this becomes a varied, exciting short holiday.

Although Benguerra Island is part of Mozambique, the easiest way to get there is to fly from Johannesburg. If you are looking for a few relaxing days by a beach at the end of your trip, Benguerra is an idyllic tropical island with superb beaches and wonderful opportunities for snorkelling and diving. Marlin Lodge and Benguerra Lodge offer excellent accommodation.

The Garden Route is one of South Africa's must-see attractions, and makes a perfect add-on from a trip to Cape Town. Adding a day or two at the end of the Garden Route to see some wildlife in the Eastern Cape makes a wonderfully varied and exciting short holiday.

One of the most fantastic ways to get a realistic and exciting experience of the African bush is to walk through it. Combining walks with game drives, you get the most out of your time in the Greater Kruger.

This is an excellent safari for getting an understanding of the wildlife of Kruger, and indeed even wider regions. It is a perfect family safari.

This region of KwaZulu Natal has so much variety to offer visitors, and this trip shows you much of the best of the area, from the beaches to the wetlands and the wildlife reserves to the Zulu culture. It is easy to self-drive here, yet in the game reserves you still benefit from the local guides. Highly recommended from about April to October.
