Our South Africa Experiences are written by Tribes clients. Is KwaZulu Natal worth visiting?
KwaZulu Natal is in the east of South Africa. It has such a variety of sights and experiences, that this region really does have something for all travellers.
Isimangaliso (St Lucia Wetlands)
Isimangaliso (formerly known as St Lucia Wetlands) is a beautiful and huge wetland site in South Afria's KwaZulu Natal. Home to a myriad of birds, hippos, crocodiles, turtles and of course many fish species, it also has lovely beaches, and some great activities are available from here.
Kosi Bay: not just a gorgeous beach
Kosi Bay is a stunning coastal area in the north eastern tip of South Africa's KwaZulu Natal, very close to Mozambique.
Meeting South Africans
South Africa really is a melting pot of cultures, so your experiences meeting South African people will be hugely varied. However even in the poor parts of the townships, our clients have rarely found anything but great friendliness.
