Welgelegen Guest House is located in the cosmopolitan neighbourhood of Gardens, beneath Table Mountain. It is made up of 2 Victorian houses linked by a patio and floral gardens. Decor throughout the guest house is understated and elegant, giving a real 'home from home' feel. Guests' rooms are well equipped with air conditioning, minibar, tea and coffee making facilities, TV and internet access.
All have ensuite bathrooms supplied with a range of toiletries. Towelling robes, home made biscuits and port are also on hand for guests. Most rooms have balconies with views of Table Mountain, Signal Hill or the courtyard.
Continental or cooked breakfasts are enjoyed in the dining room or outdoors in the welcoming, sunny courtyard. After a busy day in the city come home to a drink from the bar and relax in the living room with its inviting sofas.
Other facilities include a plunge pool in the courtyard and an in-house treatment offering a range of services including massage, aromatherapy, manicure and pedicure.
'Welgelegen' means well located. The secluded location gives an atmosphere of calm and relaxation while just a short stroll away are the attractions of Long and Kloof Streets, known for their trendy bistros, restaurants and boutiques. The guests house is also well placed for visiting the city centre, Table Mountain and the coast.
