Vuyani Lodge is a small boutique lodge in the Moditlo Private Game Reserve bordering the Kruger in South Africa. Opened in January 2010 it caters for a maximum of 10 guests at one time, giving luxury, personal safaris.
The lodge was built with minimum impact on the environment in mind and has a solar system and waste water treatment programme.
Eastgate (Hoedspruit) is the nearest airport and the lodge is just 12km from the town.
Being part of the Blue Canyon Conservancy, Moditlo offers an outstanding game viewing experience with some of Africa's most famous and rarest species, including all of the big cats, rhino, elephant and hippo. Several endangered species have now settled here including the rare African Wild Dog.
There are five rooms, 3 doubles and 2 honeymoon chalets. All have mini bar, tea and coffee staion, hair dryer, air conditioning, mosquito netting and a safe, bathrooms all have a shower and bath. honeymoon chalets also have outside showers and a private patio with jacuzzi.
Furniture is made from hand chosen African woods and created by a leading designer. Antiques from several African countries have ben used as well. There is a large lounge area with satellite television and wi-fi connection. There is a 12 metre pool and there is a spa nearby, about 15 minutes from the lodge.
The food is a mix of traditional South African and European influences, with fine South African wines. Three meals a day are included with dinner being a 3 course menu. There are a range of locations for dinner including the boma area, on the deck or privately at your room.
