About VillaLara

  • Close Panel

VillaLara is a beautiful villa sleeping up to eight guests, ideal for a family or group of friends. It is situated on the coast of the Cape Peninsula in the upmarket and peaceful suburb of Llandudno just 20 minutes drive from Cape Town city. This is a perfect base for self driving the surrounding area with lovely coastal roads and sweeping bays and beaches to be found nearby.

There are three en-suite double bedrooms with views of the Atlantic Ocean and the mountains plus a connected, self-contained guest cottage with an open plan double bedroom, lounge and kitchen leading to a private courtyard. The villa has computerised lighting and home cinema throughout.

Relax in the huge outdoor spaces with the mountain backdrop on one of the sun baked terrace areas, cool off in the pool or enjoy a barbeque or al fresco dining on the deck areas. There is a fully equipped kitchen and a private chef may be hired if you prefer not to cook for yourself. There is a complimentary bar with South African wines, beers and soft drinks.

Owned and created by award-winning photographer Chris Simpson, this villa has a relaxed 'Cape Cod Beach' atmosphere and relfects his love of shapes and light and has spectacular views, a double height gallery and many of his art works on the walls.

As you enter the gates of the villa you have an air of tranquility. The sound of the ocean relaxes you and the smells of sweet frangipani flowers hit your senses. Sensational views are found from all angles of this building.

Pricing guidelines for South Africa

  • Open Panel

We hope the following will give you a rough idea of costs. These are quoted per person based on twin share for two people, without international flights but including internal flights. We’ve used good standard accommodation throughout. There are nearly always ways to spend more money than we’ve suggested (!), but these prices show a good and realistic range for each type of trip.

International flights will add from about £600 to £800 depending on the season and route (unless the airlines have special offers). South Africa combines well with Botswana, Mauritius and Mozambique.

For each accommodation on this website you will find an indication of the price. The bands are based on the price per person per night at peak season and are represented by the following values for this country:
£

  £50 to £100

  £100 to £200
