River Bend Country Lodge has 8 individual suites, tastefully designed, where guests can relax and enjoy the tranquillity and privacy, just some 70kms from Port Elizabeth. Flanked by the Zuurberg Mountains, the lodge is situated within the 17,000 hectare Nyati Private Concession area of Addo Elephant National Park. All of the suites are air conditioned and equipped with ceiling fans, electronic safes, mini bar, satellite TV and hair dryer. Each has an ensuite bathroom with bath and shower plus a private veranda with views across the bushveld. The colonial-style lodge houses the main dining room where dinners are served. Alternatively this can be taken in the privacy of your suite. Informal lunches are enjoyed on the veranda overlooking the waterhole. There is also a lounge and a bar in the main lodge. Children of all ages are welcome and are well looked after.
Activities include game and nature drives, night drives, guided bushwalks and bird watching. Day trips to historic Grahamstown can be arranged and the lodge is within easy driving distance of the Garden Route. After a day's game viewing or sihghtseeing, guests can relax in the swimming pool or be pampered in the vitality studio which offers a range of massages, facials and beauty treatments.
