About River Manor

River Manor Boutique Hotel & Spa is an intimate hotel with just 18 rooms but a wide range of facilities including lovely gardens, relaxing lounges, two swimming pools and a studio spa. It is a great base from which to explore the winelands and local attractions. The friendly staff are on hand to advise of possible excursions and help guests make the most of their stay.

There are superior, standard and petite rooms, all of which have ensuite bath or shower. All rooms are well equipped with air conditioning, ceiling fans, tea and coffee trays, televsion, 'phone and safe. Guests are welcome to stroll through the gardens and can also enjoy light meals, snacks and drinks here or by one of the pools. The tranquil setting is a pertect antidote to a busy morning's sightseeing. Indoors guests can mingle and chat in the lounge or browse through a book in the library.

The hotel serves a daily breakfast in the garden and is just a few minutes walk from the centre of Stellenbosch with its many restaurants, cafes and bars, so there are many options for dining out. Stellenbosch also offers shops and art galleries, music venues and theatres. It has a thriving cultural life, as you'd expect of university city. All the attractions of the winelands can be enjoyed from River Manor including vineyards, fabulous restaurants, excellent hiking and tradtional villages.

River Manor's spa offers treatments in the best French traditions of revitalisation and invigoration. It uses many products derived from the natural goodness of local grape extract. Enjoying treatments here is another way to experience the Winelands! Trained therapists are available to advise on treatments and plan personalised programmes undertaken in a relaxed environment.

Pricing guidelines for South Africa

  • Open Panel

We hope the following will give you a rough idea of costs. These are quoted per person based on twin share for two people, without international flights but including internal flights. We’ve used good standard accommodation throughout. There are nearly always ways to spend more money than we’ve suggested (!), but these prices show a good and realistic range for each type of trip.

International flights will add from about £600 to £800 depending on the season and route (unless the airlines have special offers). South Africa combines well with Botswana, Mauritius and Mozambique.

For each accommodation on this website you will find an indication of the price. The bands are based on the price per person per night at peak season and are represented by the following values for this country:
£

  £50 to £100

  £100 to £200

  £200 to £300

River Manor is a lovely, homely country house. It's in a fantastic location so it's really easy to walk to local eateries and explore Stellenbosch. It's beautifully presented and furnished and I felt it was one of the nicest places you could stay in the area.
