Ntshondwe Camp is the main camp in Itala Game Reserve. The majority of the thatched chalets are self-catering and vary in size sleeping 2,4 or 6 people. Each is equipped with oven, 'fridge, crockery, cutlery and cooking utensiles. There are also a few non self-catering chalets. The camp is laid out in spacious gardens at the foot of the cliffs after which it is named.
Facilities here include a restaurant, coffee shop and bar, an open game viewing deck and swimming pool. The curio shop stocks a range of items including basic food provisions. There is also a waterhole within walking distance of the chalets.
Guests can take self-guided walks around the grounds, waterhole and the wooded mountainside above the camp and use the various picnic sites. Guided walks are also offered, as are day and night game drives, all of which can be booked locally. There are also self-guided auro trails for those who want to explore the area in their own vehicles.
