About Lidiko Lodge

  • Close Panel

Lidiko Lodge is set high above St Lucia lake on a coastal dune, just 5 minutes walk from the town centre with its restaurants, cafes, markets and galleries. Rooms are spacious and well equipped and facilities include a lounge, library, deck and swimming pool.

There are 16 rooms in the main building, including 2 interconnecting rooms, ideal for families. All are air conditioned and have ensuite bathrooms. Amenities include TV, 'fridge, safe and tea and coffee making facilities. The rooms have private patios leading out to the garden and swimming pool. There is a separate self-contained cottage which can accommodate up to 6 people plus 2 children sleeping in the den. With a lounge, dining room, 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms, the accommodation is well sized. It also has a pretty outside deck area.

Lidiko Lodge serves a generous breakfast consisting of fresh fruit, cereals, yoghurt, toast, croissants and pastries as well as freshly cooked food, all served on the deck overlooking the lovely gardens. Light lunches are also served here. Drinks and snacks are available throughout the day and can be enjoyed by the pool or in the gardens. Dinner can be arranged for parties of 8 or more, although with its proximity to several restaurants there is no shortage of places to eat.

The lodge is on the doorstep of iSimangaliso Wetland Park with its 5 interlinking ecosystems, and fine beaches. Several Big 5 game reserves are nearby, making game viewing one of the most popular activities. There are numerous walking trails through coastal forests and by the lake. St Lucia offers shops and cafes as well as a Zulu craft market.

Pricing guidelines for South Africa

  • Open Panel

We hope the following will give you a rough idea of costs. These are quoted per person based on twin share for two people, without international flights but including internal flights. We’ve used good standard accommodation throughout. There are nearly always ways to spend more money than we’ve suggested (!), but these prices show a good and realistic range for each type of trip.

International flights will add from about £600 to £800 depending on the season and route (unless the airlines have special offers). South Africa combines well with Botswana, Mauritius and Mozambique.

For each accommodation on this website you will find an indication of the price. The bands are based on the price per person per night at peak season and are represented by the following values for this country:

  £50 to £100

  £100 to £200
