    • Close Panel

Cybele Forest Lodge and Health Spa is set in 300 acres of grounds, ideally situated for exploring the highlights of Mpumalanga which include the Blyde River Canyon, Bourke's Luck Potholes and God's Window. Accommodation is in a range of suites and cottages set in the grounds with a maximum capacity of 28 guests. All are ensuite and many have their own private gardens or courtyards. All are well appointed and furnished and offer a very high quality of accommodation. The main lodge building is the old farmhouse, complete with antique furniture, original art works and beautiful fabrics and is a perfect place for guests to relax.

Cuisine is based on classic French blended with tradtional English, using the freshest and finest ingredients. The generous buffet breakfast includes fruit, home made muesli and freshly baked bread which can be followed by a full English breakfast. Lunch can be taken either in the dining room, in the garden or in the privacy of your own room. The dinner menu changes daily and offers a wide choice of dishes.

The Forest Health Spa offers a range of treatments including facials, massage, body wraps, manicures and pedicures. There is also a large open-air Jacuzzi in a private walled courtyard. There is also a gym. Alternatively guests  can relax in the gardens or on a sunbed by the large swimming pool. Sundowners can be enjoyed on the lodge veranda looking out over the gardens.

There is an extensive range of activities, including hot air balloon rides, helicopter and plane rides. There are various walks on the 300 acres of grounds and the lodge has its own horses for guests to ride. Golf, tennis and squash are available nearby. The lodge can also arrange a number of excursions to places such as Kruger National Park and places of interest in Mpumalanga.

    Pricing guidelines for South Africa

    • Open Panel

We hope the following will give you a rough idea of costs. These are quoted per person based on twin share for two people, without international flights but including internal flights. We’ve used good standard accommodation throughout. There are nearly always ways to spend more money than we’ve suggested (!), but these prices show a good and realistic range for each type of trip.

International flights will add from about £600 to £800 depending on the season and route (unless the airlines have special offers). South Africa combines well with Botswana, Mauritius and Mozambique.

For a specific personal quote based on any tailor made itinerary you have in mind, please contact us and we’ll be happy to help you.
