    About Camps Bay Retreat

    • Close Panel

Camps Bay Retreat is a 5 star boutique hotel set in 4 acres of lush nature reserve, complete with waterfalls and streams. The original manor house is a gracious building, with high ceilings, large paintings, chandeliers and Turkish rugs, exuding old world charm and elegance. There are 2 lounges where guests can relax and a dining room leading out to a terrace where many meals can be enjoyed al fresco. The cuisine here is based on fresh local ingredients and in summer special wine evenings are often arranged.

Guests rooms are in the main manor house and also in the contemporary Deck House and The Villa in the grounds. All have ensuite bathrooms, TV, phone, DVD players, tea and coffee making equipment, minibar and air conditioning. The rooms in the Deck House and The Villa also have private balconies overlooking the gardens.

There are 3 swimming pools - the solar-heated main pool, the cool pool of the Deck House and the mountain pool in the gardens. The wellness centre offers a range of treatments, massages and facials, a spa and a sauna and yoga classes can be arranged on site. For more active guests there is a fitness cabin with an exercise bike and weights, a tennis court and mountain bikes. Hiking is also popular and there are various nearby nature trails - you may be accompanied on your walk by one of the resident dogs! Squash is available at Camps Bay sports club, of which the Retreat is a member.

Camps Bay Retreat is also well positioned for visitng local beaches, taking the cable car up Table Mountain and enjoying the cafes, bars and restuarants of The Promenade. The V & A Waterfront with its shops, boutiques and cafes is just 10kms away.

    Pricing guidelines for South Africa

    • Open Panel

We hope the following will give you a rough idea of costs. These are quoted per person based on twin share for two people, without international flights but including internal flights. We’ve used good standard accommodation throughout. There are nearly always ways to spend more money than we’ve suggested (!), but these prices show a good and realistic range for each type of trip.

International flights will add from about £600 to £800 depending on the season and route (unless the airlines have special offers). South Africa combines well with Botswana, Mauritius and Mozambique.

For a specific personal quote based on any tailor made itinerary you have in mind, please contact us and we’ll be happy to help you.
