Primates of Rwanda

A 7 day trip taking in the gorillas, chimpanzees and other intereting areas of Rwanda.

Starting and finishing in Kigali, you have the opportunity for 2 gorilla treks and a chimp trek is included.

See some of Africa's last remaining true rainforest and experience the myriad of species of wildlife to be found here.

Some cultural and historic detail is included with a city tour in Kigali and a visit to the Butarea Museum. Enjoy rural Rwandan life on the shores of Lake Kivu.

Accommodation used is clean and comfortable but quite basic.  Note that budget - mid range accommodation is quoted but in some places (at the gorilla area) there are more luxury lodges available - please ask us for a quotation.

Tailor made on any dates to suit.

Pricing guidelines for Rwanda

  • Open Panel

We hope the following will give you a rough idea of costs. These are quoted per person based on twin share for two people, without international flights but including internal flights. We’ve used good standard accommodation throughout. There are nearly always ways to spend more money than we’ve suggested (!), but these prices show a good and realistic range for each type of trip.

International flights will add from about £600 to £800 depending on the season and route (unless the airlines have special offers). Rwanda combines well with Uganda or the East African coast. Please note that gorillas permits add on about US$500 per visit. We charge these to you at the time of booking.

For a specific personal quote based on any tailor made itinerary you have in mind, please contact us and we’ll be happy to help you.
