Butare
Butare is the centre of education in Rwanda and sits close to the border with Burundi in the south east of the country.
Gisenyi
Gisenyi is the northern most point in Rwanda of Lake Kivu and an interesting place to relax on the beach and explore the local town.
Kibuye
Kibuye is a leafy, sleepy, town on the southern lake shores of Kivu.
Kigali
Kigali is the capital of Rwanda and the main airport for all visitors to the country.
Nyanza
Nyanza is a stop on the main Kigali - Butare road and the location of the Palace Museum.
Ruhengeri
Ruhengeri town is the gateway to the Volcanoes National Park and the gorillas. There is also a vibrant cultural heart to the area.
