Luxury Peru

Your luxury holiday begins in Lima where you will have a guide and driver at your disposal to explore the city. You may want to visit to the citys colonial centre, and perhaps tour the famous Gold Museum.

Flying from Lima to Cusco you will again have a guide and driver at your disposal to explore this attractive city which is built on the foundations of an Inca city.

Having explored Cusco and Sacred Valley, it is time to visit Machu Picchu, the famous lost city of the Incas, and one of the most magical and mysterious places on earth. You will travel to Machu Picchu on the luxurious Hiram Bingham train where brunch will be served. You will overnight in a luxury hotel, giving plenty of time to explore the ruins early the following day before most of the tourist buses arrive. A magical two days are concluded with a train ride back to Cusco on the Hiram Bingham train, where cocktails and dinner will be served.

After a day to relax in Cusco it is once again time to board a train, this time the Andean Explorer train service to Puno on the shores of Lake Titicaca. The train service includes luxury coaches, dining car and an observation/bar car.

After a night in Puno, travel by boat across Lake Titicaca to Suasi Island, a private 43 hectare island near the remote northern shore of the lake. On the way it is usually possible to visit the floating reed islands of Uros, and the southern part of Taquile Island. Upon arrival at Suasi you will stay at the Casa Andina, the only hotel on the island. Spend your time on this idyllic island retreat relaxing beneath deep blue skies, or choose from a number of activities including hiking and kayakking.

The final full day in Peru offers an exciting contrast to the rest of the trip. Flying south from Lima across Peru's desert coast to Ica, a light aircraft awaits to take you on an overflight of the mysterious Nazca Lines. This flight gives spectacular views of the lines and animal designs (such as a spider, monkey, whale and hummingbird) which have been cut into the sand by pre-Columbian cultures who settled in the area from around 900 BC until 600 AD. A perfect end to a luxury holiday! (subject to availability. Please contact us regarding Nazca flights.)

Pricing guidelines for Peru holidays

  • Open Panel

We hope the following will give you a rough idea of costs. These are quoted per person based on twin share for two people, without international flights but including internal flights. We’ve used good standard accommodation throughout. There are nearly always ways to spend more money than we’ve suggested (!), but these prices show a good and realistic range for each type of trip.

International flights will add from about £750 to £1000 depending on the season and route (unless the airlines have special offers). Peru combines very well with Ecuador (including the Galapagos Island), but can also be linked with Brazil.

For each accommodation on this website you will find an indication of the price. The bands are based on the price per person per night at peak season and are represented by the following values for this country:
£

  under £60

  £60 to £100

  £100 to £150
