Opened in 2007, the 60 room Sumaq Hotel offers the most luxurious accommodation close to Machu Picchu. Located a few minutes walk from the train station in Aguas Calientes on the road to the ruins, the hotel overlooks the fast-flowing Urubamba River with many rooms having excellent views.
