About MV Aria

  • Close Panel

MV Aria was built in 2010 and offers the height of luxury on the Amazon river. She is the flagship for Aqua Expeditions and has accommodation for 32 passengers. With a crew of 24, guests will be well looked after. This is an excellent opportunity to explore the Amazon River, its wildlife and people.

With 16 large staterooms, accommodation on Aria is faultless. The suites have been designed to a high specification by a world renowned Peruvian interior designer and boast twin/double beds, a separate seating area and a well equipped bathroom with complementary toiletries. All suites have large picture windows so guests can enjoy views of the river from the comfort of their own room. Rooms are fully air conditioned. The suites are located on the first and second floors and four are interconnecting, ideal for families.

There is ample room to relax, both indoors and outdoors, with an indoor lounge/bar and a spacious observation deck complete with jacuzzi. Meals are taken in the dining room with its panoramic windows and the menus, which change daily, have been designed with the assistance of one of Peru's top ten chefs. There is a fine selection of wines to accompany meals while the bar serves a wide range of alcholic and soft drinks.

For those wanting to burn off a few pounds there is an exercise room. Aria also has a small boutique.

MV Aria has four motor launches in which guests can explore the river system. Four expect English-speaking naturalist guides are on hand to accompany guests on excursions on the river and in the vast Pacaya Samiria Reserve with its abundant land and marine life, including the pink Amazon dolphin, black caiman and three toed sloth.

MV Aria is based in Iquitos, a 90 minute flight from Lima and offers 3, 4 and 7 night cruises year round.

Pricing guidelines for Peru holidays

  • Open Panel

We hope the following will give you a rough idea of costs. These are quoted per person based on twin share for two people, without international flights but including internal flights. We’ve used good standard accommodation throughout. There are nearly always ways to spend more money than we’ve suggested (!), but these prices show a good and realistic range for each type of trip.

International flights will add from about £750 to £1000 depending on the season and route (unless the airlines have special offers). Peru combines very well with Ecuador (including the Galapagos Island), but can also be linked with Brazil.

For each accommodation on this website you will find an indication of the price. The bands are based on the price per person per night at peak season and are represented by the following values for this country:
£

  under £60

  £60 to £100
