    About Hotel Monasterio

    • Close Panel
The Hotel Monasterio is Cusco’s finest 5-star hotel. It was originally built as a monastery in 1592 on the site of the palace of Inca Amaru Qhala and is now part of the Orient Express group.

This 129 room hotel is a national historical landmark, preserving its colonial renaissance style whilst providing the luxury, elegance and comfort of a modern 5-star hotel. The hear of the hotel is a central courtyard with a fountain and 300-year old Cedar tree surrounded by gardens and stone cloisters. The rooms are decorated in a combination of colonial and modern styles and equipped with telephones, central heating, cable TV, minibar and safety deposit box. The majority of the rooms are deluxe rooms, and there are also junior, deluxe, presidential and Royal suites. All but 25 of the rooms are oxygen enriched to help combat any problems caused by the high altitude.

The Hotel Monasterio has two restaurants offering a mixture of international and local dishes, and drinks are served from the lobby bar. Room service is also available 24-hours. Additional services include spa treatments ranging from Andean massages and Reiki to Shiatzu and Aromatherapy. For an added indulgence the hotel offers a bath butler service with candles and aromatic salts, or rose petals, candles and champagne for a touch of romance!

    Pricing guidelines for Peru

    • Open Panel

We hope the following will give you a rough idea of costs. These are quoted per person based on twin share for two people, without international flights but including internal flights. We’ve used good standard accommodation throughout. There are nearly always ways to spend more money than we’ve suggested (!), but these prices show a good and realistic range for each type of trip.

International flights will add from about £750 to £1000 depending on the season and route (unless the airlines have special offers). Peru combines very well with Ecuador (including the Galapagos Island), but can also be linked with Brazil.

For a specific personal quote based on any tailor made itinerary you have in mind, please contact us and we’ll be happy to help you.
