Nepal Wildlife Tour

A two week trip exploring the rich wildlife of the lowlands of Nepal. Fly from Kathmandu to Nepalunj and drive almost the length of the country from Badia National Park in the West to Koshi Tappu Wildlife Reserve in the East before flying back to Kathmandu.

This trip gives you the chance to explore the diverse variety of wildlife that can be found in the lowlands of Nepal. The Bengal Tiger is the most famous inhabitant of this region, and an elephant-back safari in Badia and Chitwan National Parks gives you the best opportunity to spot this magnificent creature, but there is much more to be seen, including deer, leopards, Langur Monkeys and even the rare Gangetic Dolphin. There is also a rich variety of birdlife, especially in the wetlands of Koshi Tappu Wildlife Reserve where it is possible to see more than 100 species in a day.

There is also the opportunity to visit the remote villages and learn about the many different cultures of the terai, as well as exploring the many temples and palaces in and around Khatmandu.

Pricing guidelines for Nepal

  • Open Panel

We hope the following will give you a rough idea of costs. These are quoted per person based on twin share for two people, without international flights but including internal flights. We’ve used good standard accommodation throughout. There are nearly always ways to spend more money than we’ve suggested (!), but these prices show a good and realistic range for each type of trip.

International flights will add from about £750 to £1100 depending on the season and route (unless the airlines have special offers). Nepal combines well with India.

For a specific personal quote based on any tailor made itinerary you have in mind, please contact us and we’ll be happy to help you.
