Hotel Parkland is located in mature gardens just 10 minutes walk from the centre of Sauraha town and a few minutes from the entrance to Chitwan National Park. This makes it an ideal spot for those wanting to spend time exploring the park.

Accommodation is in a separate wing. The rooms are comfortable and air conditoned, with satellite TV and ensuite bathrooms. The rooms all have balconies overlooking the gardens, with their many trees, shrubs and flowers, making this a tranquil and relaxing place to stay.

The dining room offers delicious food in a varierty of cuisines including Nepali, Indian and Chinese as well as continental. There is also a separate bar with an open terrace, making the most of the garden views. Other services include room service and laundry.

Guests can enjoy a wide variety of activities while staying at the hotel, based around exploring Chitwan National Park.

We hope the following will give you a rough idea of costs. These are quoted per person based on twin share for two people, without international flights but including internal flights. We’ve used good standard accommodation throughout. There are nearly always ways to spend more money than we’ve suggested (!), but these prices show a good and realistic range for each type of trip.

International flights will add from about £750 to £1100 depending on the season and route (unless the airlines have special offers). Nepal combines well with India.

The two days I stayed here, I found the staff always solicitous and friendly, and always wanting the ensure you are having a good time. The food is buffet-style which I am never usually too keen on, but actually I was quite impressed by the standard and variety. The place seems to be run like clockwork, which it needs to be to get through the incredible programme of activities which guests can enjoy from here. A good place to stay as a mid-range option.
