About Fishtail Lodge

  • Close Panel

Pokhara's original lakeside resort hotel, Fishtail Lodge occupies an unrivaled position, on a peninsular jutting out in the lake with stunning views of the Annapurnas reflected in the calm waters of Lake Phewar. The hotel is just a few minutes from the shops and restaurants of Pokhara's bustling Lakeside, but is on the other side of the lake, reached only by rope ferry making it a peaceful spot to relax in the spacious gardens.

There are a total of 60 rooms housed in traditionally styled circular bungalows with a swimming pool, restaurant and bar. This is an ideal base for exploring Pokhara and the surrounding region, and to relax and unwind after a trek in the Annapurnas.

All profits generated by Fishtail Lodge are donated to the Princess Jayanti Memorial Trust. The Trust provides free cardiac care to underprivileged Nepalese people and conducts various programmes to raise public awareness regarding the causes of heart diseases in Nepal. Your patronage will go a long way in providing financial support to the Trust and to contributing towards a very special cause.

Pricing guidelines for Nepal

We hope the following will give you a rough idea of costs. These are quoted per person based on twin share for two people, without international flights but including internal flights. We’ve used good standard accommodation throughout. There are nearly always ways to spend more money than we’ve suggested (!), but these prices show a good and realistic range for each type of trip.

International flights will add from about £750 to £1100 depending on the season and route (unless the airlines have special offers). Nepal combines well with India.

For a specific personal quote based on any tailor made itinerary you have in mind, please contact us and we’ll be happy to help you.

This hotel has a peaceful and pretty position. It has the advantage of being away from the hustle and bustle of the main town, yet it is close enough to walk to.  Set in well-kept gardens, it has a calm and pleasant feel to it. The food is good too. Certainly our favourite choice when staying in Pokhara.
