The public areas of the lodge are open to the beach and sea with views across calm blue waters to the Indian Ocean. Furnished with cool contemporary cottons and the textures of Africa, they are open to the natural breezes. Azura has a restaurant, bar, lounge and library. The cuisine is based on fresh local Mozambican produce, much of it home-caught or home-grown. There is an extensive wine cellar.

The Azura Spa
There is a gorgeous treatment spa to relax and unwind with a variety of therapies and massages. There are 2 double reatment rooms, set on the beach and open to refreshing breezes. Treat yourself to a body scrub in genuine diamond dust, or a 'butter me up' body wrap using African body butters and oils. Massages are also offered, including the tribal Traditional massage, where the body is covered in olive and shea butter and the massage strokes mimic the beating of African drums. African masssage staffs and rainsticks are also used, leaving the body feeling soothed and calm.

Pricing guidelines for Mozambique

We hope the following will give you a rough idea of costs. These are quoted per person based on twin share for two people, without international flights but including internal flights. We’ve used good standard accommodation throughout. There are nearly always ways to spend more money than we’ve suggested (!), but these prices show a good and realistic range for each type of trip.

International flights will add from about £700 to £900 depending on the season and route (unless the airlines have special offers). Return flights from Joburg to Pemba (in northern Mozambique) will add on roughly £400. Mozambique combines well with South Africa, Malawi and southern Tanzania.

For each accommodation on this website you will find an indication of the price. The bands are based on the price per person per night at peak season and are represented by the following values for this country:
