About Indigo Bay

  • Close Panel

Indigo Bay Island Resort and Spa is an exquisite island destination situated on Bazaruto Island, the largest island in the Bazaruto Archipelago. It offers visitors the quintessential Indian Ocean island holiday. The island is one of Africa's best scuba diving destinations with over 100 species of coral, thousands of tropical fish species, dolphins, whales and sharks plus sea turtles.

The guest areas, beach chalets and bay view villas have all been built of natural materials including reed, soft-fringed thatch and wood in order to blend harmoniously with the natural surroundings. Each chalet and villa offers complete luxury, with air-conditioning, mosquito screens, sumptuous en-suite bathroom, mini-bar, 24-hour power, satellite TV and telephone access.

The general facilties include restaurants, bars, swimming pools, a specialist dive pool, an activity centre, which co-ordinates a wide variety of water sports, as well as diving and fishing activities. There are tennis courts and a 9 hole golf course. Guests can also explore the island in 4x4 vehicles or on horseback. There is also a Sanctuary Spa where guests can enjoy a range of pampering treatments.

Pricing guidelines for Mozambique

  • Open Panel

We hope the following will give you a rough idea of costs. These are quoted per person based on twin share for two people, without international flights but including internal flights. We’ve used good standard accommodation throughout. There are nearly always ways to spend more money than we’ve suggested (!), but these prices show a good and realistic range for each type of trip.

International flights will add from about £700 to £900 depending on the season and route (unless the airlines have special offers). Return flights from Joburg to Pemba (in northern Mozambique) will add on roughly £400. Mozambique combines well with South Africa, Malawi and southern Tanzania.

For each accommodation on this website you will find an indication of the price. The bands are based on the price per person per night at peak season and are represented by the following values for this country:

  £50 to £150
